Trevor Morgan, Managing Director of Menecon Consulting, is an internationally renowned energy economist with more than 35 years of experience. Mr Morgan rejoined Menecon at the beginning of 2011, a company he founded in 1999 and ran until 2007. From 2008 to 2010, he was senior economist at the International Energy Agency in Paris where he played a lead role in managing and drafting the World Energy Outlook (WEO) – the IEA’s flagship annual publication, recognised as the most authoritative source of global energy information and long-term energy and climate projections.
With Menecon, Mr Morgan has undertaken a wide range of assignments on behalf of major oil and gas companies, utilities, governments and international governmental bodies on a wide range of energy strategy, policy and economic issues, including several projects on LPG. He has contributed to the work on LPG for the WEO and is an advisor to the World LPG Association (WLPGA). He is the author of the annual report, Autogas Incentive Policies, the leading study of autogas markets worldwide, the latest edition of which was published jointly by the WLPGA and European LPG Association in late 2018 and the Global Roadmap for Autogas, which was released in March 2019. He has also recently advised the WLPGA and UK DECC on the prospects for bio-propane.
Mr Morgan holds a Masters Degree in Energy Economics from the University of Surrey, UK, and an Honours Degree in Economics from the University of Southampton, UK.
